Arrive in Pokhara

I arrive early in Pokhara, check in to a hotel and head to the University where Gopal goes to school (Forestry College). The name Forestry may seem a bit misleading. Students at this school are all studying conservation biology and work on many species across many different types of habitats in Nepal.

At the Forestry College I get a tour with Gopal and some other students. I learn that nearly all of them have developed some sort of program or club towards environmental stewardship. As an example, Gopal started a tradition to plant a tree on your birthday each year. Great idea!

We don’t have much time today because Gopal is in classes but we plan our day tomorrow, where I can film more around the campus and spend more time interviewing Gopal and the other students.
